Holman demands contract answers from NEC Nijmegen

NEC Nijmegen midfielder Brett Holman is demanding the club get serious over new contract talks.

"If they want to keep me, NEC need to come to me with a better contract offer," Holman told ELF Voetbal. "And the club must make clear to me that there will be a good team here next season too."

Holman added that he is yet to hear from the club but is hoping to open talks before his international commitments take precedence.

"Next week I will return to Australia for a couple of World Cup qualifiers. I would like to hear something from NEC before then," he said.

NEC technical director Carlos Aalbers responded to Holman's comments by suggesting the club is planning to approach him soon.

"We did say that we want to continue with the key players in the new season," he said. "In the coming time we will give a decisive answer about it."
