Holman is relishing donning the claret and blue kit in competitive action once the 2012-13 campaign begins.
He told Villa's website: "It's a good feeling to put on that Villa shirt for the first time. I'm excited to be here.
"I've obviously seen the claret and blue strip on television many times but it's great to get it on. The interesting thing is I'm coming here from AZ Alkmaar, whose shirts are also created by Macron so I know how good quality the strips are.
"How the kit feels is important. You have to feel good in what you wear. I am looking forward to testing this out for Villa next season.
"I am so happy to be here. It's a dream come true to be a Premier League player. To have that opportunity at a club with the history and tradition of Villa is fantastic.
"I am so excited and can't wait to get started."
