Hollywood idol Tom Cruise believes his close friend David Beckham will be around to make England's World Cup squad in Brazil in 2014.

The LA Galaxy midfielder is out of this year's tournament because of a serious Achilles injury but Cruise is confident he can still be a force when the next one comes around, despite the fact he will be pushing 40.

"I wish he was playing in the World Cup this year. But he will be back for the next one, you know," Cruise said.
