Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway is pleased with their late summer business.
A frantic final day saw last season's Championship play-off winners capture five more, including the £2.25m deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlene Guedioura and Cameron Jerome on loan from Stoke.
Holloway said: "All myself and chairman Steve Parish wanted to do was to show the fans that we are trying to take the club forward on and off the field.
"And I think we have made a bit of a statement. We have had a go. We obviously can't spend like Arsenal - our overall spending is less than half an Arsenal player.
"But I am just delighted that we have been given the chance to compete. I am delighted with the business we have done.
"Being in the Premier League is not good enough for me. I want to stay in the Premier League. Now we have to do it."
