Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is unimpressed with Championship rivals Cardiff attempts to prise Mat Phillips away from Bloomfield Road. The Bluebirds had a bid, reported to be worth £800,000, rejected for the Tangerines star during the January transfer window and Holloway stressed he would not be letting his prized asset go to a fellow Championship club.
He told the BBC:
He added: "He won't have to wait for Cardiff to become that, so slightly ambitious, slightly outrageous.
"But never mind, it proves they are right doesn't it, what he's done today (Saturday).
"He's a good lad, he's a good player and shows what he can do. We've got to get everything right around for him to shine." "I think they (Cardiff) were a little bit ambitious there, if he goes anywhere it will be one of the top five clubs in the country."
