Holloway insists more to Blackpool than just Adam

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway insists there's more to his team than in-form Charlie Adam.

Holloway feels that Adam's absence will give the rest of his players the chance to prove they are not a one-man team.

He said: "You lot are making him out to be some sort of genius.

"I think he's a good lad and a good player, but if you ask him, he is only as good as the players he gets the ball from and gives it back to.

"I thought we played brilliantly against Aston Villa [in November] even though we lost 3-2, and he only played the last few minutes in that game.

"If I lose David Vaughan, I might have a problem then. You never run midfield on your own.

"I used to help Ray Wilkins sometimes [at QPR] by tackling people while he passed it, and when it was said that Wilkins ran the midfield I didn't like that.

"So I don't like the fact that Charlie Adam gets all our credit. I'll be looking forward to whoever I pick going out there and trying to play their own game.

"None of them are Charlie, he is a unique individual, but so are all of my players, so let's see what we can do without him."
