Holloway directs more plaudits at veteran striker Phillips

Kevin Phillips came off the bench to seal three points for Championship Blackpool with the only goal of the game against Millwall on Saturday, and immediately earn the praise of boss Ian Holloway.

He told the Blackpool Gazette: "Kevin Phillips' finish was superb. How many more times can he do that?

"For me he is a fantastic example of why this club is so good. He hasn't moaned once.

"The support for him at Burnley (in a 3-0 defeat at Turf Moor after which Phillips was dropped) wasn't right. I have left him out and worked on the support, and he will now look a lot better in the team."
