Holloway on the brink at Crystal Palace

Ian Holloway appears on the brink at Crystal Palace after their 4-1 home defeat to Fulham.

The Mirror says he was given the bird by an irate knot of fans by the tunnel after his strugglers were stunned by two wonder goals and then fell apart.

The flamboyant former Leicester and Plymouth boss was serenaded into the night with catcalls and chants of "Out, out, out" by the militant mob, who also gave hopeless striker Marouane Chamakh the bird, while Palace defender Damien Delaney became involved in a finger-jabbing dispute with the vocal delegation.

Holloway emerged from his summit with Parish wearing the haunted look of a condemned man, admitting: "It's totally and utterly flat as a pancake in that dressing room.

"No-one wants to be on a run like this, but it's happening so we need to buck up, stick together and do something about it."
