Holland's van Gaal 'shouting loud enough' for an English job - Tottenham's Sherwood

Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has criticised Holland national team boss Louis van Gaal for 'shouting' out about a job in England.

The former Bayern Munich boss is being heavily linked with Sherwood's role at White Hart Lane with some suggestions that he could make his way to north London after leading the Dutch at the 2014 World Cup.

Sherwood took over at Spurs when Andre Villas-Boas was sacked in late December but is not about to let van Gaal swoop in and take his job despite the circulating rumours.

"He's obviously destined to want to manage in England," said Sherwood.

"He's got a good track record and he's a good manager. I'm sure he'll get his opportunity - he's been shouting loud enough for it.

"My future's out of my hands. I believe I'll be here next year. I'm planning for next season. The players are playing for their futures."
