Holland's Snieijder suggests England were unimpressive

Holland ace Wesley Sneijder felt that England were unimpressive during last night's international friendly.

Bert van Marwijk's Dutch side overcame a fairly lacklustre opening half to score twice through Arjen Robben and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar before England hit back with two late goals courtesy of Gary Cahill and Ashley Young.

But the Oranje grabbed a late winner via Robben and after the match, Inter Milan playmaker Sneijder indicated the performance of the Three Lions was not up to standard.

"I was not impressed with England," he told Dutch TV channel Veronica. "If you let go of the ball quickly and make a run, you get a lot of space.

"In the first half we created little because of the slow tempo. But in the second half it was better. Then, you saw that England had problems.

"It was a beautiful evening. England against Netherlands is, of course, a beautiful fixture. It becomes even nicer if you win."
