Former Trinidad & Tobago youth international Thorne Holder is set to trial with MLS club Philadelphia Union.
The 6 foot 4 inch custodian failed to gain selection to a club in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft but has now been given the chance to win a professional contract with the Union.
"This is the opportunity of a lifetime and to get invited itself is a real big honor," he told T&T's Newsday.
"I'm pretty excited to work with players and coaches alike at this level.
"It's going to be a challenge but one I've been preparing for, for many years. I'm going be taking it one session at a time, bringing the level of intensity and presence that is needed at this level.
