Former Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden is set to make his Bolton Wanderers debut tonight.
The Scottish-born USA international will suit up for the Trotters for the first time in the fifth round FA Cup replay against Tottenham at White Hart Lane and admitted he had enough confidence in his own ability to have another crack at the Premier League after a less than successful stint with Sunderland in 2005.
"I knew it was a gamble coming here because it could go two ways. I could come over and play and help my chances or put my World Cup place in jeopardy," he said.
"But I was also looking at it as a decision that would affect my career not just for six months but for years to come. I had the confidence in my own ability to break into the team."
