USA star Stuart Holden expects to sign his Bolton Wanderers contract after the World Cup.

Holden has the offer of a year-long contract extension at Bolton.

The American told the Daily Record: "The day after I got hurt the manager called me to say he would like to pick up the option for the next year.

"The deal is on the back-burner while I'm at the World Cup but it's a no brainer for me. I love the club and the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world."
