Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden may be forced out of a second consecutive English Premier League match with a thigh injury.
The USA international had started all 14 matches for the Trotters before he picked up an injury in the 5-1 demolition of Newcastle United which forced him out of last week's 2-2 draw with Blackpool.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle suggests that the 25-year old may not get up in time to take on Manchester City at Eastlands on Saturday but said he would be given every chance to prove his fitness.
"Stuart Holden missed out last week - he has been very influential for us," Coyle said.
"He hasn't trained up to this point so we will give him the next couple of days to see where he is at and take it from there."
