Holden concerned Bolton could sell stars

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden admits concern over player sales next month.

Johan Elmander has been linked with Liverpool and Aston Villa ahead of the January market, while Fabrice Muamba and Gary Cahill has been watched by Manchester United and Liverpool.

Holden told talkSPORT: "I hope not because I think we've got a good squad together. We have a small squad but we have got a good squad.

"We have some really good players in the team and if we lost them it would be a blow to the team but at the same time it is part of football and if they happen to go I'd wish them all the best.

"I've made some good friendships with the guys on the team and you support them but at the end of the day they're good players and they help your team so you'd like to have them with you.

"I'd like to think we won't lose any players in January but if it happens you have to move on and keep going about trying to win games."
