Hoilett on the mend for QPR return

QPR winger Junior Hoilett is hoping to return from his latest injury setback against Manchester United this weekend. "I started training last week," the Canadian international told the Fulham Chronicle. "I've been doing some rehab and strength work and will hopefully be ready for the next match [against Manchester United].

"It's been really frustrating, especially when a new manager comes in and you can't show him what you can do because of injuries.

"I've struggled with the same hamstring problem. Hopefully it's sorted now and I can get going. I feel I'm over it now.

"It's been difficult. I came back from injury and got my chance, then got injured again. I've just had to stay focused and hopefully get going again."

The 22-year-old Hoilett tasted relegation with Blackburn Rovers last season and is determined that will not happen with his new club.

"I want to help the team get the results we need. I haven't been able to do that when I'm on the sidelines," he said.

"It's not a good feeling getting relegated. I know what it's like, so it gives me extra drive to make sure it doesn't happen again."
