Hoffenheim striker Peniel Mlapa is being tracked by Tottenham.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to add a physical presence to his attack and is turning to £5 million-rated Mlapa, who has been likened to Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 19-year-old, who is 6ft 4in tall, starred in the Bundesliga last season and Spurs are among a number of clubs keeping an eye on his situation.
