Hoffenheim chief Alexander Rosen accepts they're on borrowed time keeping hold of Niklas Sule.
The Germany defender has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea in England, while he has also been a long-term target for Bayern Munich.
Rosen sighed: "There comes a time when it is no longer tenable.
"Whether he goes next summer, I think, is by no means certain. An internationally respected top talent like Niki simply arouses interest.
"He sees what he has here with the coach and the environment. That he has the security to play regularly when he is healthy. He would not have it anywhere.
"Therefore, a change is currently not an issue."
