Hoffenheim chief Ernst Tanner admits they face a battle convincing Liverpool attacker Ryan Babel to join them.

The Bundesliga outfit had a bid for Babel accepted by Liverpool on Tuesday, but the player is yet to commit.

"The player is in a luxury position," said Tanner.

"He can choose from several clubs. I do not expect a decision to be made this week."
