England coach Roy Hodgson admits Wayne Rooney's situation at Manchester United could become a concern.
He is hoping that the uncertainty over Rooney's club future does not undermine his form.
Hodgson said: "As far as I am concerned I have got a much small group of players in a way and much less choice.
"I have always thought Wayne Rooney fit and desirous of playing like he was against Brazil - I mean what about his work rate, not to mention his technical ability which was every bit as good as the Brazilians.
"I just see a good player. But of course in club football a number of other factors come into play, but you'd have to ask him or the manager about that situation.
"As far as I am concerned he has never let me down. He has not always played as brilliantly as he did against Brazil, but he is a human being."
