West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson wants to be sure of Premier League safety before discussing a new contract.
Hodgson's current contract runs out in the summer and he has transformed the Baggies fortunes since replacing Roberto Di Matteo 14 months ago.
He said: "I am relaxed about things. I'm enjoying my time here. I've got a lot of time for the club, a lot of time for the players.
"I've said to the chairman it would be nice we can make certain we are on safe ground (in the Premier League) and we know where we are heading if we are to sit down and talk about the future together.
"I think the club are relaxed about it as well because they have no need to panic either. We know where we are and what relationship we have with each other."
