Roy Hodgson has urged his West Bromwich Albion side to finish highest of all the West Midlands clubs this season.
The Baggies currently sit 13th on the Premier League table, well clear of bottom-placed Wolves, and seven points ahead of Aston Villa and Hodgson has made it clear that he wants to finish above the clubs closest rivals for the first time in over 30 years.
"If we had a goal, then that would be the goal.
"That would be to break what is neither a record or a hoodoo, but a fact of life that it's a long time to be below an important rival in the city.
"To have 33 years where you've always seen a rival above you is a long time.""We've actually talked about it and it would be our next major goal," said Hodgson.
