Hodgson wants transfer cash to cover West Brom injuries

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is desperate for transfer spending money.

The Daily Express says he will plead with West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace for funds after losing Chris Brunt for two months with a broken ankle.

With Zoltan Gera out for the season with a knee injury, Hodgson is desperate and met Peace before their defeat by Tottenham on Tuesday.

But Peace has allowed only loan signings in the New Year in the past, angering bosses Roberto Di Matteo, Tony Mowbray, Bryan Robson and Gary Megson.
