Hodgson wants to bring Spurs striker Crouch back to Liverpool

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is considering bringing Tottenham striker Peter Crouch back to Anfield.

The Sunday Times says Crouch is likely to attract plenty of suitors if Spurs show willingness to sell the 6ft 7in handful of a striker.

Rafa Benitez sold Crouch to Portsmouth two years ago when the former Aston Villa man was struggling to hold down a first-team place.

However, he could now play an important role on Merseyside, where star man Fernando Torres's future is still uncertain.
