Hodgson has been promised funds to make such a move due to the sales of Javier Mascherano, Albert Riera and Yossi Benayoun during the recent transfer window.

The Russian League ends in the last week of November so the 24 year old playmaker will then be considering his options and whether he wishes to stay in Moscow.
Valued at around £12m Honda was a Liverpool target under Rafa Benitez whilst he the Japanese international was still in the Dutch Eredivisie with VVV Venlo.
