West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is desperate for his players to produce the consistency needed to remain in the Premier League. Between 2002 and 2010 the Midlands club have been promoted to the Premier League four times and relegated back to the Championship three, earning them a reputation of being a 'yo-yo' club.
"We have some very important games coming up but I believe we can stay in this league," Hodgson told Sky Sports News.
"I think we have the quality and the organisation and I think the club is set up for that.
"My hopes for the club will be that they will kick on from here and that sometime in the future people will forget the 'boing boing' aspect of West Bromwich Albion and start referring to them as a bona fide Premiership team, just as you talk about teams like Fulham and Stoke and Wigan and Bolton.
"I think the most important thing for the club is consistency and to get a run of years in the Premiership because I think the club will get stronger for every year they stay in the Premiership."
Hodgson says he is enjoying life in the Midlands following a woeful spell with Liverpool last year.
He added: "I enjoy all football jobs, I have to say, and certainly I've enjoyed it here. It's a good club and the players are excellent to work with."
