Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has bluntly stated that remaining in the Premier League is more important than a good FA Cup run.
Palace prepare to square off against rivals Brighton in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup on Monday.a
And while the fans of both sides are eagerly looking forward to the clash, Hodgson has stated that he has one eye on the Premier League and could rest some key players on the night.
"I was brought up on the Cup, so for me it is a very important competition," said Hodgson. "I am still worried we are among a relegation group, but I am also aware of the rivalry between us and Brighton.
"I know this tie means a lot to this club and the supporters, although I don't think the majority would prefer another Cup run to not getting relegated."
