Hodgson rewarded with new Fulham contract

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has signed a new 12-month rolling contract with the Cottagers. "I'm delighted to have committed my future to Fulham for the years to come," said Hodgson.

Fulham appeared destined for relegation when Hodgson arrived in late December 2007 and survival was not guaranteed until the final day of the season but over the next 12 months Hodgson transformed the club's fortunes.

They currently sit ninth in the Premier League with wins against Liverpool and Manchester United.

"I have always stated my desire to remain at the club and continue the good work that has been achieved over the past two years," added Hodgson.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the chairman, the fans and staff at the club for the faith they have shown in me during my time at Fulham.

"I would also like to thank the club's fans for the outstanding support they have shown the team in recent years, both at the Cottage and on our travels in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League.

"We will of course continue to work tirelessly to ensure that continued success is enjoyed on the pitch in the years to come."
