Hodgson proud to rid West Brom of yo-yo tag

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is proud of his work at the Hawthorns.

Hodgson has ended the Baggies' yo-yo reputation.

He said: "If I can help West Brom to a third successive Premier League season it would rank very, very highly.

"I wouldn't want to class it as the best or the second best but it's right up there, no question about it. I've got a strange thing about achievements. For me, your best achievements are always your current ones, or the next ones.

"The aim of this club has always been to be in the Premier League but in a way the ends are related to the means.

"It does make life a little bit more difficult that way because there are players who might be available for transfer but their fee or wages might put them out of our reach but not another club.

"Our aim is always to make that foundation stronger by the year and that really means of course making certain that we get a better playing staff because football is about players."
