England coach Roy Hodgson expects to beat Scotland tonight at Celtic Park.
Hodgson knows Gordon Strachan and the Tartan Army will turn up the heat and that defeat will not have a big impact on his emerging team, but his message was clear.
"I'm not looking for excuses if we don't win," said the England boss. "I don't think we've ever looked for excuses.
"The friendlies we've had have been against strong opposition: Italy, Sweden, Germany, Scotland twice, Ireland. We've chosen teams who can beat us. When they have beaten us, we've put our hands up and accepted that.
"But the World Cup was a real cold shower for us, a real bad moment.
"Before the tournament I thought we were doing quite a lot of things we were hoping for but then we lost two matches and we hit a wall.
"I don't think we've started again but we did have a massive barrier to get over after the World Cup, a barrier we created by losing two matches."
