New Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson says that he is keen to see more of his squad when they host Huddersfield at Selhurst Park in Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
The former England manager signed a two-year deal with Palace last week and saw them succumb to a 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday.
Hodgson quickly needs to change things as Palace find themselves at the bottom of the league table – without a point and a goal. And he sees the upcoming League Cup fixture as the perfect opportunity to assess more of his squad.
"I'll have a chance on Tuesday to see a few more (players)," said Hodgson.
"Going forward, I'll have a much better idea of the playing personnel, and that's a very important factor.
"That was an important part at Fulham: looking at the playing personnel, working out who's going to be good enough on the field and who's going to be really ready to roll their sleeves up and die for us in this cause because we're not doing too well. That'll be the main thing.
