England boss Roy Hodgson has his fingers crossed regarding the expected fervent crowd in Scotland on Tuesday night.
Hodgson takes his Three Lions squad to Glasgow for an international friendly with Gordon Strachan's Scotland side and is imagining that the support will be fairly strong for the Auld Enemy.
Hodgson recalled last year's friendly fixture between the two nations, which England saluted 3-2 at Wembley, and feels that perhaps it will be his team which is this time devoid of some vocal passion from the locals.
"The (match) uppermost in my mind was the one we played (against Scotland) last year at Wembley," said Hodgson.
"I think Gordon had just taken over as manager. It was a very good game, very close, hard-fought (and an) incredible atmosphere because a lot of Scottish fans had travelled down.
"I prefer to live in the present and compare the game tomorrow to the one last year, albeit (this time) we're the away team and Scotland are the home team. It will be home advantage because Celtic Park is a fantastic stadium to play football in.
"The fans here, they'll certainly give Celtic and Scotland incredible support and that's something we'll have to deal with in terms of not letting it affect us too badly mentally."
