Hodgson hoping to emulate Fulham & West Brom success at Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson is keen on orchestrating another great escape at Crystal Palace by replicating his success from his time at Fulham and West Bromwich Albion.

Palace have moved up to 18th place in the Premier League table under Hodgson and the veteran boss is now hopeful that he can successfully guide the Eagles away from the relegation zone by emulating the success he enjoyed at Fulham and Albion during his managerial career.

Hodgson said: "At West Brom, they were certainly heading for the relegation zone when I arrived, but we took 19 points from 12 games to not only avoid the relegation zone, but we shot up and finished 12th.

"At Fulham they were doing badly before I came and after four games, they were doing a damn sight worse after losing all four. But we had a spell there where we had to pull ourselves out of it, and that was a great escape.

"But this one, the seven games and zero points; that is probably as big a shot in the foot as you are ever going to get in the Premier League."
