England coach Roy Hodgson sees a World Cup midfield role for Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
He hinted at how he was moving towards the need for an aggressive ball-winner alongside skipper Steven Gerrard when asked about United's game at White Hart Lane - which featured eight potential World Cup squad members.
"That was very good," he said. "I was at the game and I was pleased to see them but of course they start and they're under enormous competition for places.
"Chris Smalling will be under pressure from Rafael. Phil Jones will be under pressure from Fellaini. They're all under pressure, really."
