Roy Hodgson is grateful to West Bromwich Albion for taking a chance on him last season.
Hodgson, 64, says Albion's hierarchy are keen to extend his term as boss with his current contract expiring in June 2012.
He said: "It was relatively bold after leaving Liverpool to jump straight back in. Especially at a club in danger of relegation.
"That decision paid off and I have enjoyed it and the team has had success. The club have been kind enough to let me know if I want to sit down, they will be more than happy to sit down with me.
"Hopefully there will come a time when I can make a clear decision as what to do in the future."
