Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists he won't panic-buy this month.
Hodgson, still looking for his first win since taking over from sacked Lawrie Sanchez, said: "I think most clubs down the bottom of the league would answer yes if asked whether they need new players to stay up.
"Of course we need people. But we also need people who are going to be the right people.
"It's important we get players who balance up our team and don't just keep on piling up players who, at the end, are too similar to what we've got.
"I need different types, that's what I need and that's what I'm trying to find."
