Roy Hodgson has urged Fulham fans to be patient with new signing Stefano Okaka.
The striker has arrived on-loan from Roma.
Hodgson said: "He doesn't speak a word of English.
"He's got to get to know his team-mates, he's got to know what they're thinking and doing on the training field.
"It's going to take lots of work but I'm sure he'll get better.
"But he's not the man that's going to come in and you'll say 'Well, don't worry, Andy Johnson's not around, you've got Stefano Okaka' that would be placing far too much responsibility on his shoulders.
"Now I may be looking at the rest of the season with a limited and inexperienced group of front players."
