Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is delighted with his new-look midfield.
Hodgson has quickly rebuilt the Reds engineroom with Joe Cole, Christian Poulsen and latest signing Raul Meireles.
On the signing of Meireles, Hodgson said: "We're very pleased about that. We've lost some quality midfield players in Benayoun, Riera, Aquilani on loan and Mascherano. It was very good to bring in Poulsen and Meireles, two quality players."
