Hodgson delighted to lead England to memorable Brazil win

Roy Hodgson was over the moon after guiding England to an historic win over Brazil at Wembley on Wednesday.

The Three Lions marked the Football Association's 150th anniversary by defeating the Samba Kings 2-1, making it their first triumph against their South American opponent in 23 years, and just their fourth in history.

Hodgson, who now has a record of nine wins, three draws and two losses since taking over from Fabio Capello last year, was delighted after seeing Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard score either side of Fred's equaliser to give them another triumph.

"It's my first crack at Brazil as a manager and I'm delighted to have been able to oversee a victory," he told BBC Radio Five Live.

"It was an all-round performance from the team, there were some very very good moments and I thought we were good value for two goals to one."
