Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is delighted with the depth of his squad this season.

The Cottagers have managed to avoid being dragged into the relegation scrap so far this term, despite a lengthy injury list.

Hodgson told fulhamfc.com: "We recruited well in the summer. We haven't signed any really big name players but the players that have come in have done an outstanding job.

"Further more the ones who had played or were not playing the year before, and I'm thinking of Erik Nevland and Zoltan Gera, they've really stepped up to the plate when they've been asked and shown what good players they are. That's something to be fair we've never doubted but it's nice that they've been able to prove it to the world."
