Hodgson decidedly uncertain on Liverpool future

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson admits his future at the club is out of his hands as speculation again starts to rise about his position.

The Reds lost 2-0 to lowly Stoke City at Britannia Stadium on Saturday, stalling their mini-revival, and prompting some supporters to again call for Kenny Dalglish to take over.

Hodgson says that he can only do what he can and acknowledges that the managerial decision is clearly not up to him.

"There is nothing I can do about it," he said.

"I can only continue to do the best job I can under these circumstances, and if the club decide they want to give the job to somebody else then I'll have to accept it.

"The fans can chant for whoever they want and it will be up to the club to decide what they want to do.

"I can't get upset every time the fans chant someone's name. Fans make their frustrations felt every time we lose a game - but unfortunately they may have to do that a few more times this season, because I can't see us winning every game."
