England coach Roy Hodgson is convinced Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney can be the star of the 2014 World Cup.
Rooney, 27, left the 2006 World Cup in disgrace after being sent off against Portugal and looked off the pace in South Africa four years later after returning from injury.
Hodgson said: "Wayne, in his own opinion, still has unfinished business. He would love, I'm sure, to have a great World Cup in 2014. The fact it is in Brazil is special."
