Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is confident of keeping his job should new owners be found.
Hodgson has been named new manager amid Liverpool's American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett trying to find a buyer.
Asked if his contract provided any protection against a change of ownership, he said: "To some extent, yes, but you can never get cast-iron guarantees. I believe I was selected for the right reasons and that any new owners would go along with that.
"If they didn't, and wanted a complete change, I would have to accept that. It wouldn't be a major dent in my career, but it would be very sad, because I want to work here."
