Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is confident he has the support of the board, despite their disappointing showing since his appointment.
He has spoken to chairman Mohamed Al Fayed and was happy with the assurances given.
Hodgson said: "I signed a contract to stay here through next season but it's not up to me. If the club decide they want to get rid of me, they will do so.
"What I'm saying is that I don't turn my back on things. I didn't sign the contract in order to walk out if I didn't get all the sweets I wanted in the first five months."
