Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is ready to break the bank to land FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is ready to break the bank to land FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz.

The Daily Mail says Fulham are interested in Ruiz but would have to smash their transfer record with the Dutch side putting a £13m release clause in his contract.

Manager Roy Hodgson watched the Costa Rican international in action for the Dutch league leaders in their 1-0 defeat at AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday.

Left-sided attacker Ruiz has only been at Twente since July last year when ex-England boss Steve McClaren signed him from Belgian club Ghent for £4m.
