Hodgson admits West Brom feels like home

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson admits he feels at home at the Hawthorns.

Hodgson reckons he knew from day one in the Hawthorns hotseat that he had made the right choice in accepting the Baggies' offer.

"After leaving Liverpool, I decided against taking an extended sabbatical and I'm very happy now I made that decision because I've come to a good club and I'm having some good success," Hodgson told the WBA website.

"I think that right from the start of working at West Brom I realised I had made the right decision.

"It's been good to work with the players from day one.

"I was very happy with the reception I had and I am very happy with the receptive nature of the players.

"It was pretty obvious they wanted to get behind what we're trying to do to get out of the mire.

"Up until now - and we aren't there yet - we have got to take our hats off to the players and say they are being rewarded for that receptiveness.

"All coaches try to influence their players and I'm very happy the influence I've tried to have over them has been reciprocated."
