West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson won't rule out buying in January.
The Baggies are looking to strengthen their options but the Hawthorns boss insists competition will be fierce in the transfer market.
"If there are players out there that would help us get more points in the second half of the season then we'd be very happy to take them," he told the WBA website.
"But it's not an easy time to buy players in January.
"And if there are any players out there that could improve our squad they'll be capable of improving someone else's squad, so there will be enormous competition."
