England manager Roy Hodgson admits his side lacked adventurousness in their 0-0 draw with Ukraine on Tuesday night.
The Three Lions remained top of their World Cup qualifying group courtesy of the result which Hodgson appeared to be content with despite the fact his players did not show much attacking creativity.
"I don't think we were that adventurous," he said. "But it was for them to be adventurous, not us," he told ITV.
"Perhaps we didn't have quite the quality we needed [up front].
"[But] had we thrown caution to the wind and come away with a 0-1, I don't think we'd have got any thanks for that."
