Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle was unimpressed by Manchester City's win over Sunderland on Saturday.
Hoddle wrote in the Daily Mail: "Pep Guardiola got his win but it wasn't hugely impressive.
"You could see the kind of shape he wants them to play in and for the first 15 minutes they executed it well.
"But City have only had three pre-season games and one was behind closed doors. That's not enough and it showed. They looked off the pace.
"I imagine a few managers will be looking at the tape and licking their lips if City are going to play like that, with full-backs cutting inside and almost playing as midfielders."
