Hoddle helping ex-Man Utd starlet Fagan rebuild career

Former Manchester United starlet Chris Fagan has impressed in trials at Huddersfield.

Town manager Lee Clark watched Fagan score a hat trick as the Reserves beat Hartlepool 5-0 last night in a split team of senior and Academy players.

Since being released from Old Trafford last year, the 19-year-old Fagan has been working at the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain with a view to getting back into league football.

"I've seen him before, had him watched and he has caught our eye," said Clark. "The aim of the Hoddle Academy is to give these lads who've been released the opportunity to stay in professional coaching and provide an environment in which they can further their careers.

"They've been playing teams in Spain and they came over about a month ago to play some professional teams in this country, which is when we had a look at Chris.

"At this stage we have just taken the opportunity to have a look at him and we will have to wait and see what comes of it."
